FISHING REPORTS

The SEA STAR III spent another week searching for more keepers and found more of the same. Fluke, Weakfish, Blues, and a few Kingfish, Sea Bass, and Triggerfish, even a Ling to round out our catches this week. As far as Fluke, action is still slow and the majority of them are shorts, however, we did manage a 7.10lb Giant Fluke caught by Bob Athey on Friday! Also some other keepers like the ones above and below. Some schools of small Blues are popping up inshore and we took advantage of that a few days. The other species I mentioned are more random and can be found on Any trip. Anyhow, summer is rolling on and we are sailing DAILY at 9am and taking what it gives us! I hope that you All will join us soon for a day on the water and your chance at some of these fish. Here are more photos from this week's action.

A full week on the SEA STAR III. Weather presented many challenges and we had to make the best of it. Fluke, Sea Bass, Weakfish, Kingfish, Bluefish, and even the season's first Triggerfish were caught this week. Many shorts and a few Keepers, and as you might expect, some days were better than others. I hope the weather straightens out and we can get into a regular summer pattern but until then, we have to play the hand we are dealt. It has been nice seeing more and more of you as the season progresses and I hope that trend continues! Catching up, AND catching fish! Sounds like FUN doesn't it? As always, I will again leave you with some more photos of this week's action. See you at the SEA STAR III. Thanks for checking in....

Action was slow this week on the SEA STAR III. We fished the Bay a couple of days and found some Weakfish, Fluke, and small Blues but mostly shorts and not enough of them. The reefs were also slow and without the Sea Bass to keep this past week, things were tough. A couple of Fluke to keep on most trips and a few shorts, along with Sea Bass that could have been kept had the season been open. Thankfully, That changes TOMORROW! We will again be able to keep some Sea Bass to fill the gaps in the Fluke fishing. We ALL hope that the action picks up soon and we will keep searching DAILY at 9am for more Keepers until it does. I will again leave you with more photos from this week's action. Thanks for checking in.....

A tough week on the SEA STAR III. Slow action at the Reefs with only a few Fluke and Sea Bass had us looking again for more promising fishing. Today we had a little better action with Fluke, Weakfish, Blues, Kingfish, and a few spotted Hake also. A nice change of pace from the Reefs. Anyhow, the SEA STAR III is sailing DAILY at 9am and will keep searching out more Keepers and take what the Ocean and Bay will give us. I hope that you can join us for a day out on the water and your chance at some of these fish, whatever they may be. I again will leave you with some more photos from the week's action. Thanks for checking in...

Weather was our biggest obstacle this week. High winds and or rain only let us out a few trips and the catch sure suffered as well when we did get out. Hopefully some nice, calm, summer like weather will grace us soon! Along the beach front we found small Fluke and Weakfish, and when we got offshore a bit, some larger Fluke and some nice Sea Bass. The weather also shut down the Drumfish as we made our last Drumfish trip this year without success. I hate to end on that note but it will motivate us more for next season!! The

SEA STAR III  will continue to fish for Fluke and Sea Bass as long as the weather allows and hopefully I'll have a better report for you next week. Here are some more photos from this week's action. Thanks for checking in....
